The ADHD shame spiral after a day of doing nothing

You were busy from morning to night and nothing that mattered moved. The shame is optional. Here is a five-minute close so tomorrow is not worse.

Busy is not the same as done

ADHD days can fill with motion: tabs, half-starts, messages, research, a sudden deep-clean of a drawer. By evening the important thing is still sitting there. The story becomes I wasted the day. That story is what wrecks tomorrow.

You did not fail a moral test. You spent a day with a brain that grabs stimulation and drops hard starts. Name that, then stop the recap.

Do not hold a performance review at 10pm

Reviews need executive function you do not have at night. A recap turns into a prosecution. Skip the verdict. Close the day with one page or three lines.

Try this:

What used me up?

What is still looping?

One first move for tomorrow, sized for low energy.

If even that is too much, write the looping thoughts only. The free dump page is built for that.

Carry-over is not a character flaw

Unfinished things can move to tomorrow without a shame pile. That is what a weekly reset is for, on a better morning. Not tonight.

Tomorrow morning

Do not design a new personality. Open the one first move. Two minutes. If you cannot name it yet, dump first, then pick. ADHD mornings when you cannot start is the next read if mornings are the cliff.

Close the day without a trial.

One page for the looping thoughts. You do not have to organise them tonight.
